Karen Ferrington is a human resource development (HRD) specialist with the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) where she has been employed for 15 years. She worked as a VR counselor and VR supervisor before becoming the Division’s training officer in 2005. Karen has a special interest in the area of self-employment for persons with disabilities and has presented regionally and nationally on the topic. Karen earned her M.S. degree in Rehabilitation Services from Florida State University, and she is an adjunct professor providing on-line courses for graduate students studying rehabilitation at Thomas University in Georgia.
